About NOVA
NOVA is a well established demoparty continuing the tradition of our high production value events based in the seaside town of Budleigh Salterton, UK. The Budleigh Public Hall provides room for up to 100 sceners (including dedicated table spots with comfortable seating for up to 60). The event runs from Friday evening until Sunday morning, during which there is plenty of opportunity to socialise and meet other demosceners, prepare food or get a takeaway or enjoy a drink.
New to NOVA?
If you have never visited a demoparty before or haven't done so in a very long while, this is how NOVA tends to turn out:
Friday
The focus is to unpack, set up your systems and socialise (or you can work on your productions if preferred, but there is no obligation there).
Saturday
Mornings are for audience participation trivia games if you like, or you can explore the local area (including the Jurassic Coast, rocky pebble beach or café's and shops with local character and charm).
Competitions begin later in the afternoon, where participants have their productions shown on our large screen and sound system. Audience members vote on their favourite productions which are presented in a results ceremony on the Sunday morning.
At midnight on Saturday, in accordance with the noise curfew, most partygoers head to the pebble beach for a bonfire accompanied by DJing and occasionally a barbecue.
Sunday
Mornings start slowly with another audience participation games session followed by prizegiving at midday.

Evil Works are... busy making data science so easy it's sinful! And that means: beautiful interactive data visualisations; user interface that blurs the line between reality and science fiction; big data in your browser; ShaderToy-like interactivity and iterability; and —above all— GPU for everything!
